Ziggy's Street Eats

I was so excited to learn about this spot just 5 minutes from our house. I went on Tuesday at 5pm and there was a nice crowd patiently waiting for their order. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I went with the chicken rice bowel and ordered the wings and fries for my friend. The wings come in 6, so we doubled that order to 12 for a little more. They have the usual flavors, we went with garlic parm. The presentation of the food was excellent, good portion size, but it was definitely the flavor. The chicken rice bowl with the Ziggy sauce was impressive. The chicken is perfectly seasoned. You can also get it with shrimp or salmon. The wings were yummy. Definitely coming back for the crab cakes and tacos. Portsmouth has some of the best hidden food spots.

Came here from Va Beach. Saw a food review and decided to try it. Very pleased and satisfied with the food and experience. I was greeted by the young lady working the counter and taking orders. She gave me a breakdown of the menu and popular items. Very professional and courteous. I had the Jerk egg rolls, and rice bowl with all the meats! Worth the drive.

The young lady who took my order at first was stand off-ish. No greeting when I came in. When I approached, she asked me what can I get for you. It was then that I believe she realized it was my first time ever there. Her whole mood changed, and she treated me like royalty. She went through the whole menu with me, even giving me some of her favorite selections. Shout out to her, she made my first time experience be pleasant. I dropped a cool 60 ball in there. The food was "AMAZING." Shout out to the cook, he definitely put his foot in it. So I got the jerk chicken egg rolls and I say I literally mean FIRE. If you don't like spicy/hot food, I don't recommend you get them. They were everything, definitely had me sweating. Make sure you get the teriyaki sause to dip them in. Also got the chicken quesadilla, and it was cooked to perfection. That ziggy's sauce compliments the quesadilla well. And lastly, I had the all meat rice bowl. When I say this dish was amazing, you can't tell me anything. I will definitely be back there again.

I spent 56 there last Friday because I just had to try a couple diffrent things and let me tell you I was more than satisfied. I have went back again sense thin them jerk chicken egg rolls are to kill for!

My husband's always talking about his best friends' uncle who has a restaurant. No shade I didn't want to try it. But we just got our food delivered and I have to give props where it's due. This man knows how to season his food.

The food was great!The staff was friendly and I loved hearing the chef in the back singing old school hip hop and R&B. That was my signal that the food was going to be good.
